Wale – Black Is GOLD

Wale freestyles over D’Angelo’s “Lady” instrumental on his new track.

Wale has reignited the hype for his upcoming SHINE project. After dropping a response to J. Cole’s “False Prophets” freestyle and filming a new video with Lil Wayne, Wale has now dropped another new track called “Black Is Gold.” The instrumental comes from D’Angelo’s classic “Lady” instrumental, the warm soul guitar being a good match for Wale’s style. The track comes complete with a new video for the record.
It serves as a celebration of black women, with Wale shouting out Lupita Nyong’o, India Arie, and more, with the overarching message stated in the hook, “Black is beautiful, baby, black is bold.”

A$AP Ferg defends Kanye’s meeting with Trump, says “Ye strategic not stupid”.

While YG might not be too happy with Kanye West for his meeting with Donald Trump earlier today, it appears A$AP Ferg isn’t mad at all. In fact, he’s all for it.

On Tuesday afternoon, the Trap Lord took to twitter to express his thoughts on the meeting, and similar to Ricky Rozay, Ferg thinks Kanye is “smarter than we think,” and that he’s doing it to get closer to the President for his personal brand & growth. “Ye is strategic not dumb,” Ferg says.

In 2012, the city of Pittsburgh officially named December 12 “Wiz Khalifa Day.” To celebrate the occasion, the “Black & Yellow” rapper has shared a unreleased track, “Bombay & Lemonade,” which features Taylor Gang’s own Juicy J and Chevy Woods. While short snippets of the track have leaked on the internet, the track is presumably a left over cut from O.N.I.F.C. given the sound aesthetic from Wiz during that era. Press play to listen below.

Loso Loaded has grabbed Fetty Wap and and PnB Rock to jump on his latest banger, “Run Ya Bands Up.”

The track pops off instantly with the hook before the rappers rip into how much money they casually stop on their Rolex watches and jewelry. Loso only picks up speed from there, dropping an intense string of bars about being able to roll up anywhere and drop bricks at the drop of a hat. Fetty adds his usual energy with some much needed “Goddamns” going off in the back as he shouts out his own 1738.

As you hear this, Loso is even stocking up his jewelry collection with a quick stop at Atlanta’s Ice Box Jewelry, which he shared on Instagram.

The new song follows Loso’s recently released “Extortion” video with 21 Savage that dropped Monday. He also teamed up with PnB Rock a few weeks ago on their warbling output, “Plottin.” There seems to be no slowing Loso down as he gears up for the release of his new tape.

Check out the premiere of “Run Ya Bands Up” below and look out for Loso Loaded’s Bomb First mixtape featuring Fetty Wap, PnB Rock, Lil Yachty, 21 Savage, and more to arrive soon.

Lupe Fiasco has apparently canceled his new album and quit music. The news comes after the rapper dropped a new song Monday that resulted in him being slammed for spreading an anti-Semitic message.

Lupe rapped over J. Cole’s “Everybody Dies” track for his new release, “N.E.R.D.” On the freestyle, he raps, “Artists gettin’ robbed for their publishing/By dirty Jewish execs who think that it’s alms from the covenant.”

Twitter began to go at the rapper as he tried to defend himself in a series of tweets. “Its some upright moral Jewish execs in this biz and some low down dirty awful motherfuckers that would sell they mother into slavery. Shrug,” read one tweet. Another person pressed the rapper as to why their religion is relevant to cheating artists to which he replied, “Because in my case they were Jewish.” He continued to ask his followers how his lyrics were anti-semitic.

Tuesday morning, Lupe jumped on Twitter to tell share a message with fans. “Yo Lupe fans it’s been fun and I hope you’ve had fun. I’m officially not releasing anymore music. Albums cancelled,” he wrote before setting his Twitter and Instagram accounts to private. “Getting beat up for telling the truth is now how I plan on spending the rest of my life.” He also alleged that his track had been removed from SoundCloud due to “hate speech,” but it appears to still be streaming on the service.
