Metro Boomin has worked with the biggest names in music and has single-handedly helped to create some of them, too. He’s had his hand in chart-topping tracks with Drake, Kanye West, Migos, Gucci Mane, 21 Savage, and the list goes on. With that said, he’s built quite a reputation as one of the most sought-after producers in the game and now it appears he’s planning to keep it all in-house by launching his own label. In a recent sit down with GQ, the 23-year-old musical prodigy said “I’m starting my label up… So of course I’m going to keep bringing new things to the table: new artists, new sounds, and new vibes for people to love and live with.” Aside from the launch of his label, he also confirmed plans to release a solo project and touched on his desire to build a legacy on his own terms, citing Kanye West and Pharrell Williams as examples.

It’s not often someone becomes as well known a rapper as Playboi Carti before even dropping their first mixtape. However, the A$AP co-sign has been making waves in the scene, with songs on A$AP’s Mob’s Cozy Tapes Vol 1: Friends, touring with Lil Uzi Vert and A$AP Ferg and even modelling in the latest Yeezy zine. The Atlanta rapper who has over a million plays on each track he’s released on Soundcloud, is on the brink of releasing one of his biggest projects yet — his first official mixtape which he announced via Instagram will release this March. Check out the clip he shared below, where he breaks the news live to a crowd in Chicago.

After becoming the first rapper ever inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame last week, Jay Z has now been announced as the headliner for this year’s UK V Festival. Future is one step closer to an unprecedented accomplishment.

After industry forecasters predicted Future’s self-titled album would go No. 1 this week, the official numbers are in. In the week ending Feb. 23, FUTURE earned 140,000 equivalent album units, according to Nielsen Music. This means Future has scored his fourth No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart.

Future has been on a hot streak for the last two years, bouncing back from his lukewarm response to his sophomore album Honest. His previous albums—DS2, What a Time to Be Alive with Drake, and EVOL—all went No. 1 in the first week. He’s on track to go No. 1 again with HNDRXX, which will give him back-to-back No. 1 debuts in successive weeks. In the Billboard 200’s nearly 61-year history, no artist has done this before.

A day after Twitter collectively lost its mind reacting to the track, Darden addressed the matter Sunday.

Thought the beef between The Game and Meek Mill was squashed? Think again.

On Sunday, The Game took more shots at the Philadelphia rapper after he apparently liked Ebro Darden’s Instagram post that suggested Nicki Minaj was destroyed by Remy Ma’s “shETHER” diss track.

The Game claimed Meek was acting petty towards his ex, was involved in Nicki’s recent mansion robbery, and was never good enough to date The Pinkprint? rapper.
