Suge Knight Passes Out In Jail Due To Blood Clots In His Lungs and gets Rushed To The Hospital
0Rap producer Marion “Suge” Knight was admitted to the hospital after collapsing twice in a Las Vegas jail, his lawyers revealed during his bail hearing Monday. Knight, the former head of Death Row Records, was charged in Las Vegas Wednesday with one count of robbery for allegedly stealing a camera from a photographer in Beverly Hills, California, last month. The next day, Knight passed out in his cell twice — injuring his head and his spine upon impact of the second fall, his lawyer, Julie Raye, told NBC News. Knight was rushed to University Medical Center in Las Vegas, where doctors found a blood clot in his lung, Raye said. “Suge was shot six times in the stomach two months ago — the likely cause of the blood clot,” Raye added.
Knight “is doing better,” and hopes to be released from the hospital in the coming days, Raye said. His bail was set Monday at $75,000, according to Clark County court records. Knight has already posted that bail and should be released from the Clark County Detention Center Monday evening, Raye said. Knight is due in court for a status check on Thursday, according to court records. Comedian Kat Williams was also charged with robbery in the incident, and could spend up to seven years behind bars, according to Los Angeles County prosecutors.
