Sean Kingston might want to give up wearing jewelry for a while.

While partying at L.A.’s Penthouse Nightclub last week, the 26-year-old singer was assaulted by two men who also jacked his $300,000 gold chain right off his neck. A police report sayst Kingston and the two attackers had left the scene before law enforcement arrived. But that wasn’t the end of the episode.

TMZ reported Kingston has filed a lawsuit against the nightclub, insisting they helped orchestrate the assault and robbery. In the lawsuit, he claims he was in a VIP section when a security guard informed him that another VIP guest wanted to speak. Kingston says that when he went to talk to the guest, he was cornered by the two men who punched him, hit him with a Champagne bottle, and strong-armed his chain. Kingston is now seeking more than $900,000 from the club, according to TMZ.

This isn’t the first time the singer has had accessories-related problems. Back in November 2015, Kingston claimed he was kidnapped by representatives of Avianne Jewelers after he neglected to pay for a watch in full. Obviously, Kingston came out of these instances alive, which is a good thing, but he might want to reconsider his love for pricey jewelry.

Snoop Dogg will take the stage at the Democratic National Convention this year, and life can’t get any more awesome.

According to Billboard, the rapper will perform at the DNC’s “unity party” during the final day of the convention. The event will be co-hosted by the super PACs Priorities USA, the Senate Majority PAC, as well as the House Majority PAC, and will be held exclusively for Democratic Party donors.

About a month after Hillary Clinton, the presumptive Democratic nominee, announced her candidacy, Snoop expressed his support of the former Secretary of State in an endorsement:
“You know I like to be politically correct, but sometimes I’m politically incorrect,” Snoop said during a May 15 appearance on Watch What Happens Live. “But I’ll say that I would love to see a woman in office because I feel like we’re at that stage in life to where we need a perspective other than the male’s train of thought. And just to have a woman speaking from a global perspective as far as representing America, I’d love to see that. So I’ll be voting for Ms. Clinton.”

Khloé Kardashian and Trey Songz may or may not be a thing now, a potential revelation that really just depends on how exactly you define “thing.” The two were reportedly spotted “making out” at Drai’s Nightclub in Las Vegas on Saturday night, according to E! News. Making out?!? People still do that?

“Both of them are not looking for a relationship, just some summer fun,” an unnamed source claimed. “He thinks she is dope and a sweet woman, but he just got out of a relationship so he is not looking for anything serious. He does like how confident she is.” Khloé and Trey were even spotted on Snapchat, so you know all this speculation is at least vaguely legit.

Alleged summer fun aside, this wouldn’t mark the first time that Khloé and Trey (Khlo Songz? Please?) were spotted looking like a “thing.” During Khloé’s recent birthday turn-up at Dave & Buster’s in Hollywood, the only proper place for an adult throwdown, Trey Songz was reportedly seen exiting the establishment alongside Khloé, though exiting a building really is a pretty common activity for both lovers and friends alike. Hmmm.

As recently as the Reddit AMA he hosted last month, Chance The Rapper described it as one of his favorite things to do in his free time. It’s really fun! Apparently, the Chicago rapper and some of his friends went out to try and get in on some Whirly action, but were hassled at the front door by some of the staff because of a new dress code that the facility put into place recently.

Early Saturday morning, Frank Ocean’s website was suddenly updated with new graphics. The pictures implied that his new album Boys Don’t Cry would be coming sometime this month.

From what it looks like, Drake and Rihanna’s long simmering, on-again/off-again romance is now fully on.

Apple to Acquire Tidal?

It looks like Tidal could soon change its owner. As Wall Street Journal reports, Apple is currently in “exploratory talks” to acquire Jay Z’s streaming company. According to sources, “terms of the potential deal aren’t yet known” but Apple is looking to buy Tidal to gain access to the exclusive artists the company has signed on for their releases. This would mean that future releases from artists like such as Kanye West, Beyoncé, Madonna, could be processed through Apple. Tidal was launched in March 2015 and was acquired from Swedish company Aspiro.

Chris Brown was reportedly kicked out of a vacation home in Ibiza after the landlord went to police with a complaint that the singer had completely destroyed the property. According to TMZ, the police report also notes that the house was trashed with knives that had been thrown at the walls. On top of that, the report claims that there was vomit everywhere and that someone even peed the bed.

The police first got involved on the scene because Brown was allegedly in the house after his scheduled departure time so officers were called to help clear the residence. Now, all that is left to settle is the cost, which means Brown and his housemates could owe thousands for damages on top of the house’s usual $26,000 rent. The landlord is seeking around $60,000 to cover all the damage that was done.

Brown has had no shortage of troubles lately, including a lot of backlash from members, or former members, of his team. Chris Brown’s manager, Mike G, is suing Brown after receiving a brutal beating that landed him in the hospital. Back in May, Brown’s female tour manager quit on the spot after a verbal and drug-fueled tirade from Brown left her feeling unsafe. His publicist, Nicole Perna, no longer represents the rapper either, which Brown took to Instagram to address. “ALL OF THESE PEOPLE WHO ARE CLAIMING TO BE MY ‘TEAM,’ are apart of MIKE Gs TEAM,” he wrote. “They all were fired on different occasions. IMMATURE AAND UNPROFESSIONAL HOW THEY ARE CHOOSING TO HANDLE SHIT. NO FUCKIN NEED FOR ME TO HASH OUT ANY SPECIFIC DETAILS, just know people will run up a check and do no work, or even care, THEN ITS YOUR FAULT WHEN U CALL THEM ON IT OR EVEN ASK???UTA HAS BEEN AMAZING, SO HAS LIVE NATION ALONG WITH RCA, ETC…..”

On top of everything else, Suge Knight filed a lawsuit against Brown for the 2014 shooting at an L.A. club where he was shot several times during a party that was being hosted by Brown.

Brown has not responded to the latest allegations yet.

Despite a hype performance from Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar, Jesse Williams was easily the most talked about person at the BET Awards after his powerful speech on cultural appropriation and the Black Lives Matter movement.

However, not everyone was a fan and Stacey Dash (who apparently doesn’t really like awards show speeches at all) had some words for the Grey’s Anatomy actor. “I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: BET is keeping racism and segregation alive and this past Sunday’s awards show proves it,” Dash, who appeared in numerous videos which aired on BET, wrote in a blog post titled “Racist speech at BET Awards attacked white people.”
