50 Cent took to Instagram Friday to make light of an audio recording that sounds like Future calling Puff Daddy an “old ass bitch.” Future also allegedly references Cîroc in the recording, which is famously Puffy’s own vodka that he has a partner stake in. It’s unclear when this recording took place or where it came from, but it does come as a surprise considering the pair collaborated on the Money Making Mitch album that dropped less than a year ago.

Here’s what Future allegedly said about Puffy, which you can hear in the video below via MReckTV:

“We got motherfuckin Cîroc… damn, we got all this liquor. And y’all want Diddy to come into my room and this nigga didn’t even brought no Cîroc? I don’t want this nigga around me. He an old ass bitch.”

Some are speculating the audio could be from the North Carolina stop of the “Summer Sixteen” tour where Puff got everyone talking when he stopped by the show, officially putting any beef with Drake to rest. Drake and Puff have had a checkered past, but all seemed well once Puff was spotted checking out the show in the best seats in the house.

Never one to miss an opportunity to insert himself into a controversial narrative, 50 Cent put his own spin on it.

50cent Staring as @Future in a new movie called. DON’T COME IN THIS BITCH EMPTY HANDED !!!! Coming to a theater near you. LMAO #nopuffyjuice

Earlier this summer, 50 Cent challenged an audience at a club to name the last hit single from Puffy, insinuating the rap mogul has been out of the music side of things for awhile now. Before that, he likened Puffy to Satan in a series of scathing, since-deleted Instagrams.

Neither camp has commented on the recording, so we’ll just have to wait to see how this one plays out.

Kanye West’s “Saint Pablo” Tour kicked off tonight in Indianapolis, and naturally excitement is at an all-time high. The tour, in support of Kanye’s seventh album The Life of Pablo, is set to run through November, hitting many major markets across the U.S. and Canada.

Hours before the concert, ‘Ye teased fans with a quick snap:

The concert started with some pre-show hiccups. Fans were delayed entering while Kanye did some last-minute sound checks.Once fans did get inside, they discovered that the stage is actually an open floor with an elevated platform above it on a pulley system.

Before the concert even began, Travi$ Scott sauntered his way through the GA floor section, mobbed by fans.
Kanye began the concert from atop the floating light rig/stage, and opened with “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1.”He also performed his verse on ScHoolboy Q’s “THat Part.”

Young Thug’s hotly anticipated new mixtape No, My Name is JEFFERY is finally here. Clocking in at 10 tracks, the mixtape features Gucci Mane, Gunna, Quavo, Offset, Travi$ Scott, Young Scooter, Duke, and Wyclef Jean. Although originally a Young Thug song, many thought the bonus track, “Pick Up the Phone” was going to be on Travi$ Scott’s album. Now, however it appears to officially be a track Thug’s project.

“”PLAYLIST”” I named the songs after all my idols…

No, My Name is JEFFERY drops one week after its originally announced release date. It serves as Thugger’s third project of the year. He unleashed I’m Up back in February, and followed that up with the well-received Slime Season 3 in March. Now, he adds No, My Name is JEFFERY to the mix, marking another very prolific year for the Atlanta rapper.

The tape comes amidst claims from 300’s Lyor Cohen that Thugger was officially changing his stage name to “No My Name is Jeffery.” Thugger’s sister spoke up about it on Twitter, noting that nothing was really changing. “Young thug real name is ‘JEFFERY,'” she wrote. “He’s not changing anything it has already been his.” Thugger later clarified things, saying that the name change wasn’t permanent. “I’m Jeffery for one fucking week. If I don’t sell a 100,000 copies,” he said on Travi$ Scott’s Beats 1 .Wav radio show. As it turned out, No, My Name is JEFFERY was the full title of the project.

Whatever his name, fans are sure to be excited about more new music from Thugger. Despite already releasing two other projects this year, he has another two in the works. He announced I Came From Nothing 4 back in April, and his long awaited debut album Hy!£UN35 is still supposedly on its way soon. The latter has suffered from numerous delays as mixtapes continue to find priority in his release schedule. Still, it’s hard to complain about any new music.

While you wait for more info about his other projects, you can stream and download No, My Name is JEFFERY on iTunes and Apple Music, or stream it via Spotify.

Kanye West will allegedly be able to do whatever he wants on the VMA stage for four minutes, according to TMZ in a report that has been confirmed by Pitchfork. The show’s producers, apparently, do not have any idea what he will decide to do.

West has an infamous history with the VMAs. In 2009, he famously stormed the stage during Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech for Best Female Video. “Yo Taylor, I’m really happy for you, Imma let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time…one of the best videos of all time!” he said into the mic before being booed off the stage. This moment would later serve as the inspiration behind West’s controversial “Famous” lyric that lead to FamousGate.

The pair appeared to reconcile their differences at the 2015 VMAs when Swift introduced West before he accepted the Video Vanguard Award, delivering one of the most memorable rants speeches of all time as he told everyone to “listen to the kids, bro” and vowed to run for president in 2020.

Of course, West has also performed at the VMAs six times, which means that he could use this opportunity to rap one of his cuts of The Life of Pablo or the long-anticipated Cruel Winter album that features the previously released “Champions.” It should be noted that the VMAs are going down in New York City’s iconic Madison Square Garden this year, which is the same place where West debuted Pablo less than a year ago. West and Travi$ Scott also recently jumped on a remix of Alicia Keys’ “In Common” that would be pretty incredible to see performed live.

The VMAs have already released an impressive list of performs for this year’s show including Video Vanguard recipient Rihanna, Future, Ariana Grande with Nicki Minaj, Britney Spears with G-Eazy, Nick Jonas with Ty Dolla $ign, and the Chainsmokers with Halsey. Not to mention, Kim Kardashian West has been tapped as one of this year’s award presenters and West’s good friend Beyoncé leads this year’s nominations.

When pressed for more information, an MTV spokesperson told Complex, “We can confirm he’s attending.” We can only imagine what might go down when the VMAs air this Sunday August 28.

We finally have a release date for Usher’s new album. Initially titled Flawed, the project has been renamed Hard II Love and is set to drop Sept. 16.

The album pre-order is currently available on New Zealand’s iTunes, which reveals the project will boast 15 total songs. Usher’s previously released singles “No Limit” featuring Young Thug, “Crash,” and “Champions” will all be included on the project. If you’re not familiar, “Champions” is the theme song for the Roberto Duran biopic, Hands of Stone, which co-stars Usher as iconic professional boxer Sugar Ray Leonard. There is also a track titled “Missin U” and a still-untitled track that will feature Future.

Usher already dropped the video for “No Limit,” which boasts appearances from Thug, Gucci Mane, and Ty Dolla $ign. The dance-heavy video has Usher handling most of the synchronized dance moves and the record makes a clear nod to Master P’s 1997 classic “Make ‘Em Say Uhh.” There’s also the recently released “No Limit” remix that features Master P along with Travi$ Scott, 2 Chainz, Gucci Mane, and A$AP Ferg.

As far as the rest of the album, we will have to wait until Usher drops more tracks or shares the album’s full tracklist to see who else collaborated with Usher in the studio. Previously, he confirmed he had written songs with The-Dream and Ty Dolla $ign, so it’s likely we’ll see them show up.

This morning, A$AP Mob’s official website debuted the tour dates for A$AP Ferg and Playboi Carti’s Turnt & Burnt tour, with special guest Rob $tone. The dates can be seen below, while tickets are expected to release this Friday via Ticketmaster.

Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa, and the owner of the B&T Pavilion in Camden, N.J. are being sued by several people who experienced injuries after the venue’s railing collapsed during the pair’s High Road Summer Tour show.

The lawsuit filed Wednesday in a Philadelphia court doesn’t specify what damages are being sought, but identifies 17 total plaintiffs—14 concertgoers and three venue employees—including one who suffered a fractured spine. Their lawyer, Robert J. Mongeluzzi, said his clients want to prevent future incidents and deserve monetary compensation because the defendants did not take enough precautions to ensure safety, according to the Associated Press.

“I can tell you there is no doubt there was a crowd surge based upon the setup of the lawn with no chairs and no aisles, lack of security…and then the artists telling people to come forward,” Mongeluzzi said. “That’s the setup, and that’s the failure.”

Immediately after the accident, some news outlets were reporting that up to 42 people were injured. However, Complex talked to a spokesperson for the Camden police department who clarified that “about 10-15 injured, and almost all of them were just treated on the scene and released. Maybe two or three to the hospital. I don’t know the extent of their injuries, but I didn’t gather it was super-serious. I think we’re looking at bumps and bruises here.”

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first incident to occur on the High Road Summer Tour. Earlier this month, more than 50 people were reportedly removed from the duo’s concert at the Nikon at Jones Beach Amphitheater with suspected alcohol poisoning.

Jay Z continues to make moves with Roc Nation and on Wednesday added Levi Carter to the roster. Levi, a Virginia-based rapper by-way-of the Bronx, has been making noise and earlier this year released his ANTISOCIAL project. Clearly Roc Nation saw his potential and snatched up the young talent to build a future with. Levi has also stated in the past that his biggest influence is Jay Z, so the connection makes even more sense in hindsight.

Earlier this summer, Rapsody also joined the house that Hov built and did it in grand fashion during her performance at Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival. Other Roc Nation artists include J. Cole, Vic Mensa, Rihanna, and Jay Electronica, so Levi is joining some good company and we wouldn’t be surprised if he links up in the studio with one or a few of them down the road. Perks of being part of the Roc family.

Levi Carter christened the moment by dropping his Presence of a Lord EP. The 10-track project includes production from Digital Nas, Bravestarr, and more. Bump Levi Carter’s Presence of a Lord EP below or grab it on iTunes. and stay tuned for more from the rising artist. He’ll also be performing at this year’s Made in America Festival.

A few months ago Reese LaFlare dropped a record titled “180secs”, a diss track aimed at Lil Uzi Vert. The Philadelphia rapper took it to heart, and during the Day N Night Music Festival near Irvine, California, tried to get at Reese in real life. However, the “Money Longer” mastermind was held back by security and even when he broke free, a group of men stopped him from going any further. Uzi then dropped a slew of homophobic slurs at Reese before walking away. Watch the moment and listen to “180secs” below.

Universal Music Group is reportedly done with streaming exclusives. According The Guardian, UMG CEO Lucian Grainge sent out an email Monday in which he ordered all of the company’s record labels to stop making exclusive distribution deals with services like TIDAL, Spotify, and Apple Music. A source with knowledge on the situation told Forbes Grainge’s decision was greatly influenced by Frank Ocean’s partnership with Apple, which had exclusive rights to his latest music releases.

Though Ocean’s visual album Endless was delivered through Def Jam Recordings—a label owned by UMG—his sophomore studio album was released independently through his Boys Don’t Cry label. As we reported on Tuesday, Ocean was able to do this after he fulfilled his contractual obligations to Def Jams with the release of Endless, which dropped shortly before Blonde. So assuming Grainge doesn’t have a change of heart, Endless will be the company’s last exclusive deal.

In recent years, streaming services have relied heavily on proprietary content as a means to attract paying subscribers. TIDAL has inked exclusive contracts with acts like Beyoncé, Rihanna, and Kanye West; while Apple has landed exclusive deals with everyone from Drake and Chance the Rapper to Future and Taylor Swift. These agreements have racked in heavy cash for the streaming services, but some believe harms the artists and fans.

Bob Lefsetz, a music critic/analyst, recently published a piece in which he criticizes the exclusive streaming deals and the musicians who agree to them, specifically Ocean.

“Shame on you Frank, and shame on everybody else who takes money from Apple and screws fans,” he wrote. “There’s enough money in music without taking every last buck, and the joke is on you, for thinking so short term, you want your music available to everybody, because in these days of information overload we need nobody, everybody is superfluous, you don’t want to enter the marketplace with one hand tied behind your back.”
