Kevin Hart has been going by his rap alias Chocolate Droppa for a minute now but this time, he’s for real a rapper. The comedian-actor-now-rapper is so serious about his music that he released a single with Migos and T.I. titled “Baller Alert. It’s a full-fledged trap song featuring all the artist dropping boastful lyrics over a hard-hitting instrumental. Listen to the track below and let us know what you feel about it.

The Game stopped by The Wendy Williams Show Tuesday to talk about his newly minted and very public beef with Meek Mill. “It comes down to a point where you got to deal with it as it comes. I feel like I was violated,” explained the Game before dubbing it “a little hip-hop beef.”

He went on to say that he’s taking the whole thing day by day, which makes sense given the unpredictable back and forth between Game and Meek that has gone down on Instagram and now, in the studio. The Game initially blasted Meek on stage before dropping the diss track “92 Bars.” Meek responded with his own diss record over Young M.A.’s “Ooouuu,” and Game hit back with shots directed at Meek, Beanie Sigel, Sean Kingston, and more on “Pest Control.”

If there was one thing that the N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton was criticized for, it was for completely failing to address Dr. Dre’s troubling past in regards to violence against women. A new TV movie titled Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Michel’le attempts to correct that omission.

The first trailer for the Lifetime movie about Michel’le and her relationships with Dr. Dre and Suge Knight depicts an enraged Dre grabbing the Ruthless Records singer (and the label’s first solo female artist) by the neck during a studio session.

Michel’le, who has a son with Dre, was not featured as a character in Straight Outta Compton, and gave her own reasoning for that in an interview with VladTV back when the movie came out, saying “Why would [Dre] put me in it? I was just a quiet girlfriend who got beat on and told to sit down and shut up.”

Dee Barnes, who was assaulted by Dre at a Los Angeles release party in 1991, penned an essay for Gawker when Straight Outta Compton was released, writing, “I didn’t want to see a depiction of me getting beat up, just like I didn’t want to see a depiction of Dre beating up Michel’le, his one-time girlfriend.”

The trailer is not all negative, though. It also shows Michel’le, who was known for having a childlike speaking voice, as a powerfully talented singer. Michel’le is played by Rhyon Nicole Brown, with Curtis Hamilton depicting Dre, and R. Marcos Taylor in the role of Knight. Comedian Jamie Kennedy is playing N.W.A. manager Jerry Heller.

Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Michel’le, is set to premiere on Oct. 15.

On Monday, Kodak Black was sentenced to 120 days in jail for two drug charges. According to the Sun Sentinel, the 19-year-old, whose legal name is Dieuson Octave, pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of possession of 20 grams or less of marijuana, as well as one misdemeanor charge of use or possession of marijuana paraphernalia; however, the report states that Kodak will not have to serve the full four months as he will be credited with the time he already served in jail.

Additionally, Kodak’s license will be suspended for a year, and he’s required to pay court costs of $298, according to records.

He’s expected to be released from jail on Nov. 30; however, his legal troubles will be far from over. Just last month, it was reported that Kodak was accused of sexual battery. The accusations stem from a February incident that took place in a Florence, S.C., hotel room. According to the Sun Sentinel, it’s unclear when he will be transported to South Carolina to face the charges.

Earlier this year, Kodak was incarcerated after he was charged with armed robbery and false imprisonment. Though he was originally scheduled to be set free after 91 days, his release was pushed back after authorities discovered he had two active arrest warrants—one for the aforementioned drug charges, the other for the sexual battery charge.
