The 2016 U.S. Election is finally over and Republican candidate Donald J. Trump has been elected the 45th President of the United States of America. The real estate mogul defeating Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in a hard-fought and -won race. Mike Pence will serve as Trump’s Vice President.

A former reality TV personality, beauty pageant organizer, casino magnate and property maven, Trump kickstarted his political career when he emerged as a crucial figure in the Obama Birther movement. His campaign was built around a simple, galvanizing slogan — “Make America Great Again” — that entailed a return to conservative ideology, deportation of ethnic and religious minorities, and the resurrection of American Industry.

Trump will be sworn into the Presidency on January 20, 2017.

Continuing to fan the flames of controversy, Lil Yachty calls The Notorious B.I.G. “overrated” in a newly-released interview with Pitchfork. Along with Burberry Perry, Yachty sat down Pitchfork for another installment in their “Over/Under” series.” Over the course of the exchange, the pair take on topics such as Tom Hanks, 50 Shades of Grey, “having a big ego” and more. However, when it comes to the interview segment that stands to receive the most (negative) attention, Lil Yachty expresses his opinion of Biggie with one word: “Overrated.” You can check out Lil Yachty’s “Over/Under” segment below. Back in Octobor, Yachty revealed that he caused a similar controversy when he shared other thoughts on Biggie and Tupac’s music.

Travis Scott penned a heartfelt thank you note for the physical releases of his No. 1 album, Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight. Unfortunately, Scott couldn’t get his hands on his own physical copy and reportedly didn’t know that the physical release was in stores yet.

“I found out my album was out in stores by walking in a store and seeing a rack with no cds there. Does that make sense?” he told his fans Friday on Twitter.

T.I., like many of us, has no idea what’s going on with Lil Wayne.

Earlier this week, Tunechi received a wave of backlash after sharing his thoughts on Black Lives Matter. His controversial comments were made during an interview on ABC’s Nightline, in which the 34-year-old rapper was asked to comment on the nationwide movement.

“[BLM] just sounds weird […] I’m a young, black, rich motherf*ker; if that don’t let you know that America understand black motherf*kers matter these days, I don’t know what it is. Don’t come at me with that dumb sh*t,” he explained. “My life matter, especially to my bitches.”

His comments about being disconnected to the movement were met with outrage, and have now prompted T.I., Wayne’s longtime friend and collaborator, to call him out through a lengthy Instagram post.

@liltunechi This is my son & daughter showing me this for the first time & asking me what you mean? I’m at a complete loss of words here. Wayne I’ve known you over a decade. Our daughters grew up together practically. Reginae’ spent countless times at my house with Niq-Niq when you were in prison & you extended my daughter the same courtesy when I was in the same position. Our relationship outside of music is what makes me sensitive to your disposition. I KNOW you wired a bit different than most other responsible adults, but still nigga U TRIPPING!!!! I don’t know what you goin thru,or what you are attempting to avoid but this shit is absolutely unacceptable!!!! You’re disrespecting yourself, bringing shame on your family name & tarnishing your legacy. You have children (including mines prior to now) that have looked up to you. You have sons & a daughter that depend upon your leadership. Bro if you don’t stand for something out here, all the money, jewelry, cars, mansions bandannas & hit records don’t mean shit!!!! Our people are being oppressed!!! We are being hunted, captured & slaughtered out here daily!!! You have to get outta that bubble that you’ve been living in & get out here & educate yourself on what’s going on around US!!! I’m always here to share whatever knowledge or understanding I may have to assist your growth & development, but u MUST STOP this buffoonery & coonin’ you out here doin. You looking like somebody who has something to gain or lose by pretending like it’s not as bad as BLM making it seem & you’re not aware of an issue that needs to be addressed. That’s what would be considered “Uncle Tom Shit”…. I know U,YOURE BETTER THAN THIS!!!!! I’ve been proud to call myself a fan & a friend of Lil Wayne ,but if that must end in order to stand up for those who can’t do it for themselves…So be it. If you’re not prepared for a question in an interview, say No Comment Bro. But stop embarrassing yourself & everyone out here who’s been supporting you. There is no middle ground. Oppression knows no neutral party, either you’re part of the oppressed,or you with the oppressor. There is no such thing as oppression not affecting you. It’s #USorELSE out here

The Atlanta rapper went on to accuse Wayne of disrespecting himself and tarnishing his legacy. He also tells Wayne he is setting a bad example for his family by attempting to use materialism and financial success as a way to dismiss the issues facing the black community.

Shortly after the Nightline broadcast, which he reportedly tried to block, Lil Wayne made an effort to defend himself.

Rick Ross allegedly owes millions to the IRS in taxes, according to TMZ.

The IRS went through three years of Ross’ taxes and claims he owes about $5.7 million, according to new legal documents that have been obtained by TMZ. The back taxes date back a few years with the MMG founder and rapper owing a little over $4.6 million from 2012 and about $570,000 for 2013 and 2014.

The government has reportedly since issued a tax lien, a document that by law allows the feds to obtain property to secure the payment. In other words, Rozay’s belongings and properties could be taken away if he doesn’t pay up.

Meanwhile, MMG has definitely been busy lately. Last month, MMG released its Priorities 5 mixtape. The 22-track project finds the MMG crew grabbing Young Dolph, Talib Kweli, Big K.R.I.T., and Juicy J while laying out some previously released tracks and some new remixes. Rozay’s “No U-Turns,” Wale’s “Brightseat Road Freestyle,” and Meek Mill’s “Freestyle On Flex” were all included.

The label also has several projects in the works including Wale’s much anticipated fifth album, S.H.I.N.E., following a steady release of some new tracks these past few months. Of course, Ross fans are also eager for the rapper to drop something new. Fortunately, he shared a remix of Solange’s “Cranes in the Sky” Monday, slapping a heated verse onto the track. He also stopped by Snoop Dogg and Martha’s new show as a guest, according to his Instagram.

Meek Mill took to social media Thursday night to announce his DC4.5 mixtape.

“Youngbull wit a dream!!! #DC4.5 cover art dropping any day,” he captioned the Instagram when sharing the exciting news and cover art with fans.

It’s still unclear exactly what the tape will hold, but there’s a good chance Meek could be compiling the cuts that didn’t make the album. Leading up the release, he kept his fans locked in by sharing clips of his new album. Still, it wouldn’t be surprising if Meek still has plenty of more material laying around that he wants everyone to hear.

Things have been busy for Meek ever since he dropped his long awaited DC4 at the end of October. The rapper has already shared multiple videos for tracks off the project including “Shine;” “The Difference” video co-starring Quavo and Desiigner; “Blue Notes;” and most recently, the “Way Up” video with Tracy T.

The rapper kept the promotion for DC4 going by driving around with Taxstone for an incredible interview filled with quotables. Among the topics covered, the pair discussed Meek’s very public beefs with Drake and the Game, Nicki Minaj, the status of his relationship with Beanie Sigel, and much more.

We now have more details on YG’s next project.

A little over a week ago, the Compton rapper announced on Twitter that his upcoming mixtape would drop in the near future. No other information was provided beyond that. On Tuesday, however, YG returned to social media to reveal the tape’s title as well as its release date: It’s called Red Friday, and it’s set to drop Nov. 25.

The record will be the 26-year-old’s ‘tape since 2015’s California Livin’ with Blanco and DB Tha General; it also marks his first solo ‘tape since 2013’s Just Re’d Up 2.

YG has had no trouble maintaining momentum since the release of Still Brazy back in June. In addition to a handful of features and singles, including the politically charged track “One Time Comin,” the rapper has also landed a partnership deal with Crap Eyewear, and has announced his 400 Summers mixtape with DJ Mustard.

It’s only been a couple months since Young Thug a.k.a. Jeffery shared his new project, but the rapper is already hard at work on his next release.

V Magazine confirmed Thugger’s new project is due at the end of this year. “It’ll probably be fucking ten times harder than Jeffery,” he told the magazine about the album. “Like this one was kind of Jeffery, but it was still kind of street. This one is gonna be just fully Jeffery.”

Jeffery definitely marked another huge release for the rapper, debuting in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 and earning him his third top 40 debut of 2016. The project famously boasted tracks named after all of Thug’s idols including his frequent collaborator Wyclef Jean, Kanye West, Swizz Beatz, and more. “I feel like a lot of artists today aren’t that honest, and I just want to be honest,” Thugger explained. “The names of the songs were really who I was thinking about when I was making them, or who encouraged me to make them. So it was really a moment of honesty for me. To the world it may be greatness, but to me it’s just honest.”

The project also made headlines for its gender-bending cover with Thugger donning a perrwinkle dress created by Italian menswear designer Alessandro Trincone that reminded the rapper of Mortal Kombat. In his own words, he picked the outfit and that cover art to send a message: “Stop believing in genders.”

Following Lil Wayne’s comments on the Black Lives Matter movement during a Nightline interview earlier this week, lemmings from the alt-right have been tripping over themselves to praise the Rebirth artist while everyone else has just been stuck in a perpetual state of this.
