Travi$ Scott’s Birds In the Trap Sing McKnight is officially the No. 1 album in the country, and to celebrate, the G.O.O.D. Music rapper/producer has shared his new La Flame documentary. The 18-minute film is a mixture of behind the scenes footage of Travi$ recording the project with Mike Dean and others in the studio and actual concert footage where he’s turning up with fans in his usual wild manner.
The documentary features a number of cameos, including one from Kanye West, who is seen embracing Travi$ near the end of the video. Kevin Garnett, Quavo, Seth Rogen, and Puff Daddy also make appearances in the documentary. Travi$ had teased some sort of surprise for fans on his Twitter on Tuesday and he certainly delivered in a major way. With the album and documentary now out, fans are holding out for an official tour from Travi$, though he hasn’t hinted at anything yet.
YFN Lucci’s “Key to the Streets” already heated up the summer, and now he’s back to premiere the remix. Originally featuring Migos and Trouble, YFN Lucci grabs none other than Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz for the remix, putting a new spin on his already popular song. 2 Chainz kicks things off, rapping “All of my flows are valid/All of my hoes is solid/All of my hoes is naughty/When they expose they body/With a pole beside her.” Wayne later comes in to rap about breaking hearts and buying weapons. Lucci actually recorded his verse for the song while hospitalized in Miami. He had an accident on a four-wheeler and had to get ankle surgery, but found inspiration for the song while he was there.

Today is the 20th anniversary of the death of Tupac Shakur. Considering his life is the subject of the upcoming biopic All Eyez on Me, the filmmakers decided to release the second teaser for the film early Tuesday morning. Demetrius Shipp Jr. takes on the role of the iconic rapper, who is seen throughout the trailer in various stages of his life. The dramatic clip takes on everything from Tupac’s incarceration to his political activism to him being called out by Vice President Dan Quayle. Although it clocks in at under two minutes long, the trailer gives a pretty solid overview of what the movie is going to look like and is sure to get fans even more hyped about the film.
Shipp talked about his role in the movie with XXL back in March and noted how honored he was to be playing the iconic rapper. “I have to say that I’m a very passionate person, a person that’s very driven on integrity and my beliefs,” he said. “I believe there’s definitely a similarity there. Just getting into the character, I fell in love with who he was. It was common things that were brought together with me and him, our childhood. It was a crazy thing to be able to do it.”
Other stars in the film include Jamal Woolard as The Notorious B.I.G., Grace Gibson as Faith Evans, Danai Gurira as Afeni Shakur, Kat Graham as Jada Pinkett-Smith, and Stefon Washington as Puff Daddy. The Benny Boom-directed All Eyez on Me still does not have a firm release date according to a rep of the film. Until it comes, you can check out the new trailer in the video below.
ScHoolboy Q decided to drop his latest video Monday, and things get very colorful. Opening on a shot of Miguel backed by a rotating pinwheel of colors, the “Overtime” video makes the most of its visual trickery. Soon, the colors of everything from Q’s jacket to pieces of the playground to the dancers’ outfits are morphing into a rainbow of colors. Q, Miguel, and Justine Skye eventually end up on a hilltop, sitting inside a large metal sculpture as they vibe out and enjoy the beautiful view.
It’s almost impossible to take your eyes off Teyana Taylor in her new video for her “Champions” freestyle. In the Sasha Samsonova-directed visual, Teyana takes center stage covered only in flakes of gold and dripping in chains through a stunning video made entirely of stop-motion pictures tied together.
“Dipped in gold the trophies home this bitch a champion,” Teyana declares over the hardened beat as she simultaneously takes us things to a whole new level, expertly contorting her body and flexing her dancing abilities as her motions match the intensity of the video. Soon enough, she goes full Spring Breakers and has a mask over her head and a gun in her hand in a powerful image that wields all kinds of power.
There’s no doubt that Teyana has been pushing the limits visually lately. Kanye West debuted his “Fade” video starring Teyana at the 2016 VMAs where she pretty much astounded everyone with her gym-inspired routine that updated the iconic Flashdance scene to 2016 and simultaneously launched 1,000 GIFs that will forever inspire people to get in shape.
Fortunately, Teyana’s latest visual is just as gratifying. Watch it below.
