Future Finally Scores First Platinum Solo Album With ‘Dirty Sprite 2’
0Future’s Dirty Sprite 2 has sold over one million copies, officially earning the rapper his first solo platinum album. On top of that, Future’s 2015 hit “March Madness” now certified gold by the RIAA for selling more than half a million copies through physical sales and streaming.
His joint effort with Drake, What a Time to Be Alive, was also certified platinum in March. Future previously struggled with solo album sales, but DS2 proved to instantly be a game changer for the rapper after moving 147,000 units in its opening week, which was more than double the sales of his first two albums, Pluto and Honest, combined.
